about me.

My name is Sarah Soine. I am 19 years old and a lover and follower of Jesus Christ. My heart is completely sold out for Him and Him alone. Therefore, this blog is about Him, not me. It is about the work He has and continues to do in my life – all the glory goes to Him!

I am the oldest girl, with only one younger brother. I have two, loving parents who have raised both of us in the Word and in the love of Jesus.

Along with being a lover of my Savior, Jesus, I love to read, write, bake, cook, drink coffee, build friendships, disciple, teach, hold babies, eat sweets, write letters, etc. I have been a reader and a writer ever since I was little and it is still a passion of mine. I also love the outdoors, hiking, camping, and kayaking.

On January 1st, 2014 God put ministry on my heart. I had no clue what that would entail, I just knew it was a desire from the Lord. That summer, I went on my first missions trip to Europe for 2 months. Then in the summer of 2015, I went back for another 2 months. Each time, the Lord has confirmed in my heart that He is calling me to be involved in full time ministry. I don’t know when or where, but I know why and it’s because He has called me, therefore I will go when He says go! The Lord has gifted me in certain areas and I want to use those gifts to minister to and disciple young women in whatever capacity. πŸ™‚

August 2015 brought me to Calvary Chapel Bible College. That was a season of meeting new people, stepping out of my comfort zone many times, evangelizing, growing spiritually, learning more about God and His character, and creating and building new friendships. God blessed me so much, but He also used me in more ways than I could ever imagine. That whole semester made me even more excited to serve my Lord for the rest of my life.

I am now a CCBC graduate as of May 2017 and am headed to work at a Calvary Chapel on staff! I am so excited to grow in the Lord through this job and be involved in such a wonderful ministry.

So there’s a bit about me and what I’m passionate about. What do I most desire my readers to get out of this little blog on the internet? That God is my Savior and all I want to do is glorify Him and make Him known to all people!

Hi! I am an 18yr old Mormon (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter0Day Saints), and I came across your blog randomly and I just wanted to say that I absolutely love your testimony of Jesus Christ. I feel the same way and it is wonderful to see people my age share the same respect and love towards the Savior that I do. Till we meet at His feet.

    1. Sarah Soine says:

Hello! I’m so glad to hear that you like my blog! It’s interesting to me that you, being a Mormon, feel the same way I do about our Savior, Jesus Christ. In reality, however, you may notice by reading more of my posts, that our views are going to be very different and in some things, quite the opposite. I as a Christian believe in the Jesus of the Bible and that includes the fact that Jesus is God. You, as a Mormon believe that Jesus is not God, in fact, this means that you believe in a different Jesus, not the Jesus of the Bible. I hope you soon realize this. I am a born again Christian and you are a Mormon. There is a huge different in what we believe. In fact most, if not all Mormons I have encountered, I highly disagree with. Whether its their theology or their interpretation of the Bible. I’ve had the privilege of meeting Mormon girls and have talked to them about their religion and it is far different than my faith, which is Christianity. If you would like to talk to me more or ask any questions, please don’t hesitate to email me at: ssoine@student.yosemite.edu

And please know that I am saying all this completely with a heart of love! I hope you continue to read my blog!

Hi Sarah, so excited to see all that The Lord is doing in your life. I never doubted you the call on your life to full time Ministry. So very proud of you. I will continue to follow you as I’m excited to learn more about your new position at Vista. Is that something you can share now?
