While in Austria, I was given the amazing opportunity to tour Salzburg, Austria the birthplace of the beloved film, The Sound of Music. Although I did not go on the official tour, I decided it would be better to do a self-tour of some of the sites shown in the movie. I went to the Castle that was presented in the very beginning of the film, I walked around Old Town Salzburg, and took a picture by the fountain that Maria so happily splashed in as she sang, with confidence, on her way to the Von Trapp family house.
And here’s Maria, splashing! I forgot to splash but it was still fun to take a picture knowing that I was standing where Julie Andrews stood.
Here’s another view of the famous fountain!
And the Fortress Hohensalzburg, also shown in The Sound of Music.
